Lamar cements himself as the runaway MVP
The first game of the Divisional Round saw the Baltimore Ravens hosting the surprising Houston Texans. The Texans manhandled the Browns the week before, but the top-seeded Ravens were an entirely other beast.
Baltimore cruised to a 34-10 victory thanks in large part to Lamar Jackson. The QB tossed two touchdowns, then turned to his mobility to tack on two more scores in the 24-point romp. Jackson settled for only 152 passing yards but gashed the Texans with 100 yards rushing. The Ravens now await the winner of the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs clash in the AFC Championship Game.
The second game of the Divisional Round was between the San Francisco 49ers and visiting Green Bay Packers. In a tight contest, Jordan Love kept his Packers in the game for as long as possible, which was impressive considering they were playing the NFC’s top seed in hostile territory.

Unfortunately for Green Bay, Christian McCaffrey produced a go-ahead six-yard touchdown with only 67 seconds left on the clock. When the Packers got the ball back, Love threw a season-ending interception, pushing the 49ers into the NFC Championship Game.
On Sunday, the Detroit Lions got one step closer to winning their first-ever Super Bowl by defeating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In what was ultimately a high-scoring affair, Jared Goff and Amon-Ra St. Brown stole the show. Now, Detroit will head to San Francisco to take on the 49ers in the NFC Championship Round.
To end Divisional Round weekend, the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Buffalo Bills 27-24. In what was arguably the best game of the entire playoffs so far, Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen dueled it out for the chance to play the Baltimore Ravens.
Ultimately, a missed field goal by Buffalo sent the Chiefs to their sixth straight AFC Championship. In what is a nearly unbelievable stat, Mahomes has never missed the AFC Championship since being named the starter of the Chiefs.
